My favourite charity shop finds – dresses

Hello! This is a follow up post to my charity shop finds tops and bottoms

I hope you all feel inspired to embark upon a charity shop treasure hunt and support your local charities!

First up is my current favourite dress. This was actually found by mum for… wait for it… £1! It’s really heavy knit and weighs a tonne. Such good quality. And SUCH a bargain!

I wish I had a full length picture of this dress, but you’ll just have to use your imagination (the bottom half looks like the sleeve). This 70s beauty cost me £7.99. It’s perfect for those days when you want to release your inner fairy.

This one is an oldie (sorry about the camera quality), but it’s a really good example of how you can modernise a “granny dress” by cutting it into a two piece. £2.

I found this dress hiding in the ladies blouse section of a charity shop on a uk size 16 hanger for £1. I stuck a belt on it and voila! The belt was also a charity shop find in Australia for $5 (£2.50).

Last of all is an outdated dress that I found at a rummage sale. I paid by weight, £12 for 6 items, so this piece worked out at £2. I jazzed it up a bit by removing the puffy sleeves and shortening the length. Now, it’s a perfectly pretty day dress you can wear anywhere! Check out the modifications below.

Thanks for reading! 🙂
