Constructivism

Constructivism began following the end of WW1. It was an art movement that sort to rebuild the world in a positive way, directed towards social change. Kasmir Malevich first used the term regarding the work of Alexander Rodchenko, a graphic designer who’s logos, book covers and posters inspired many, inlcuding Jan Tschichold. Constructivism rejected the idea that art was to be catered for the bourgeois class and can also be seen in architecture.
